Organization

OIT, formerly known as 「Electronic Calculator Center」 first and later 「Computer Center」, was established in July, 1969. In August, 1986, this fast-growing profit center transformed into「Information Center」, and was promoted as one of the major offices in school in 2001, handed the task to outline the school's IT policy as well as to integrate the IT resource and development.

    While turning Feng Chia University into e-campus remains the most important mission, OIT devotes to bringing satisfaction to the need of the staffs and students by continuously establishing and improving the campus IT environment, setting up personalized IT service, promoting latest IT knowledge to increase the ability for keen competition, and most importantly, providing integrated e-learning programs. By catching the trend of the future IT technology and adopting related techniques, the ultimate goal is to provide convenient and useful information for each and every one of the campus users, at anytime and any place, in the shape of personalized, integrated, and multiplied IT platform.

OIT has four sections, below are the names of each section, followed by its responsibility.

1. Systems Development Section: development and maintenance for school administration system
2. Operation and Maintenance Section: management for Internet Data Center, mainframe storage, maintenance for network communication, and simulating mainframe service
3. Resources Management Center: development and maintenance for teaching aids and facility
4. Information Technology Center: IT application consulting service for on and off campus and IT technology training programs
